As an antioxidant, coenzyme Q10 can eliminate these free radicals, thus decreasing and preventing some of their adverse effects. Skin is vulnerable to free radicals because of its exposure to ultraviolet light, air pollution and other harmful environmental factors. Skin with low levels of coenzyme Q10 may be more susceptible to free radical damage. Coenzyme Q10 may stimulate skin repair and regeneration.
